Offering the highest quality aged steak from the United States, Wolfgang's Steakhouse Marunouchi is located a five-minute walk from Tokyo Station, in the basement of the nationally designated cultural property of Meiji Seimei Kan, also close to Nijubashi Station.
After retiring at the age of 64 from a 40-year career as a waiter, Wolfgang Zwiener opened his first restaurant in the U.S. in 2004, and his Marunouchi branch in Tokyo in 2014. Today, it is a famous steak restaurant with locations and fans around the world, including China and Singapore.
Wolfgang's Steakhouse uses prime grade beef, which is rated by the USDA and accounts for only a tiny percentage of U.S. beef. It is then dry-aged for 28 days in a special aging warehouse. Through this maturation process, the finest meat becomes even more delicious and tender, concentrating and intensifying flavors and aromas.
Thickly sliced lean meat is grilled in a 900 °C oven with its own plate, and even when brought to the table, the faint sizzle of meat continues for a while, stimulating the appetite. The signature dish is the Prime Steak (T-bone steak) where guests can enjoy both sirloin and fillet. The restaurant offers over 1,000 bottles of wine from across the world, and a pairing is recommended to bring out the flavors of the meat.
As guests approach the restaurant, a red carpet surrounding the venue lends it a dignified air. Inside, the dining room’s design is based on handsome dark brown wood panelling, with an eye-catching glass walk-in wine cellar; white tablecloths and leather upholstery create an elegant and inviting ambience.
In the dining area, there are 126 tables generously spaced, 14 counter seats, and 4 private rooms accommodating anywhere from 6 to 10 guests. The restaurant is ideal for private engagements with friends and family, entertaining visitors and guests, and sharing the delicious flavor of the finest aged meat in the United States.
