French restaurant, “Chemins”, is located on the first floor of a building near the Akasaka 2- Chome intersection. The restaurant’s name “Chemins” means “road” in French, and it also implies that the process of one’s life because the road creates a chance to encounter with other people, and through the experience of meeting other people may affect one’s development as a person.

Satoru Shibata, who is a former Sommelier owns this restaurant. Working at the Grand Maison was the occasion to consider opening his restaurant. His smart and crisp service is exactly Grand Maison class, that is why many customers want to visit regularly at this restaurant and enjoy conversation with him. Satoru Nobusada is the Master chef of this restaurant. His culinary career started in his hometown in Okayama prefecture. Before joining “Chemins”, he was working at “L'AMPHORE” in Omotesando, Tokyo, and a restaurant in the outskirts of Paris to polish his skills. The restaurant offers course menus that are classic French to a base with a hint of new elements added by the chef that certainly takes customers’ breath away. Ingredients are super fresh coming from all over Japan including Okayama prefecture, Chef’s hometown.

What makes his restaurant distinctive from others is, first of all, their variations of dishes. The customers can pick one of the several hors-d'oeuvres and main dish from the menu. À la carte is also available. Although it is not included in a course price, customers can enjoy cheese on a serving cart after a meal. Owner Shibata’s choice of wine and cheese is also wonderful. Once you tell your preferences to the owner-sommelier, Shibata, he confidently suggests wines match your dishes. Enjoy a little cheese assortments after a meal is real French pleasure. There are 500 wines in the house that are selected mainly from Europe. “Chemins” is the restaurant in which you can enjoy the meal in a relaxed mode with valued friends and the dearest people.
