REQUINQUER is a small, single detached French restaurant located in a small alley just off the Ichou Namiki and Platinum Dori, a mere 3 minutes walk from Shirokanedai Station. ""REQUINQUER"" means ""to perk up"" in French and is intended to convey the desire for guests to enjoy the food, wine and conversation to be had and leave with smiles on their faces. It is a venue where guests can relax and calm while enjoying traditional French cuisine prepared with seasonal ingredients.
After training in the art of preparing French cuisine at venue such as the Keio Plaza Hotel in Shinjuku and Restaurant ALADDIN in Hiroo, chef Soichi Furuya served for five years as Chef at BISTROT DE LA CITE, also located in Hiroo, before opening REQUINQUER in Shirokanedai in 2009. He has been won award for his second consecutive year in the world gourmet guide Tokyo 2016. The spirited chef continues to charm connoisseurs with his sincere, down-to-earth cuisine prepared using fresh seasonal ingredients. The restaurant also features a selection of approximately 100 carefully-selected labels of wine, with an emphasis on French imports.
With its warm, orange-themed interior, the venue features a casual atmosphere with an open kitchen on the first floor and a relaxing dining space with tables on the second floor. Easy to visit for everything from everyday dining to dates, it is also possible to rent out the entire venue for private gatherings, after-parties, convocations and other such events, making it a versatile spot for almost all occasions.
