An authentic Korean cuisine restaurant where you can enjoy top quality Kuroge Wagyu beef.

Located between Shibuya Station and Daikanyama Station, Koyama-Cho, Shibuya-ku is a quiet residential area lined with various embassies. In May 2017, “Yakiniku Hachiyama”, a hideaway restaurant with authentic Korean cuisine, reopened in this new location. There you can enjoy top quality Kuroge Wagyu and bona fide homemade Korean cuisine made by an “Omoni” – meaning mother in Korean – with 50 years of experience. “I want to wipe out the image of Korean food being associated with junk food, and present an elegance that is distinct from the usual Korean barbecue and Korean cuisine restaurants”, the chef, who is from Korea, says passionately.

The owner chooses the best “Kuroge Wagyu” at that time, based on his trusted relationship with the supplier, as he looks to offer an authentic taste using ingredients that fit his style. What brings out the delicate flavor of the Kuroge Wagyu is something that was introduced with the reopening of the restaurant – the smokeless roaster. Using far infrared rays and very low temperatures, the roaster cooks the meat without burning it, resulting in a soft texture that some claim will ruin you for other restaurants. Part of the enjoyment also comes from not having to worry about your clothes smelling of food, thanks to the roaster’s feature, which eliminates smoke and smell. The thick, meaty tenderloin prepared with this roaster is definitely a must eat. The Omoni prepares about 10 variations of Namul (Korean-style assorted seasoned vegetables), including uncommon seasonal vegetables like avocado and pumpkin, and is quite popular with the regulars. Paired with the dishes is carefully selected wine such as Kenzo Estate. The restaurant boasts a large wine cellar with capacity for over 100 bottles, allowing guests to experience the harmony of Korean barbecue and wine.

On the 1st floor of the restaurant is a private room which can fit up to 6 guests, and on the 2nd floor is a dining area for 30 guests and a private room with a large table for up to 20 guests, allowing parties of 20~30 guests and smaller parties to reserve for private occasions. The restaurant is, of course, available for regular visits and anniversaries, as well as business entertainment – the staff is quite experienced with business entertainment settings, and offer services to ensure that it all goes well. Please come and have a relaxing meal with a loved one, where you can relax and feel at home in a restaurant with a warm and homey atmosphere.

    きれいなお店で焼肉屋、というよりは高級韓国料理の趣です。珍しい網に加えて、店員の方のワインを持ってくるタイミングが絶妙でした。
