It is a sister store of the popular restaurant “Restaurant SIO” in Sapporo, and opened in April 2019 in the place where it was originally an onion farm. In addition to the restaurant business, it also produces vegetables, poultry and pork. This is a circular agriculture restaurant with the thought of "I want to start cooking by going back to making ingredients".
Chef Kaori Yoshida has gained experience in “Le Musee” and “Restaurant SIO” in Sapporo since 2010. “AGRISCAPE” uses vegetables carefully-selected from seeds, safe and secure chicken, eggs and pork raised without antibiotics or hormones to create "Caramelized Sapporo Yellow Roast" "Moist Roast Black Chicken" and other creative dishes following the example of nature. The scent of fresh seasonal vegetables is striking. One of the characteristics of “AGRISCAPE” is that, unlike most of the farm restaurant in Japan, it uses not only vegetables, but also freshly picked chicken and eggs from the farm. The concept of considering all aspects of food production, breeding, processing and cooking as part of the cooking process can be said to be one of the great attractions of the “AGRISCAPE” that live side by side with the strict but rich four seasons in Hokkaido. The restaurant mainly serves wine and has around 20 types of sake from Hokkaido and France. The selection goes well with the cuisine.
The restaurant makes use of the warmth of wood, and the simple white space brings out the colors of vegetables. There is a main dining room for 14 people and 2 private rooms for 2 - 4 people. You can enjoy the scenery of the four seasons from the large window of the dining room, and you can experience the taste of Hokkaido throughout the meal time. As staff who can speak English is available, overseas guests are welcome. There is also a direct sales area in the restaurant, where you can find freshly picked vegetables and fruits, as well as homemade products such as tomato juice made by a producer who is close to the chef. You will want to enjoy an extraordinary time enjoying the vegetables grown in Hokkaido, in the land convenient for transportation from Sapporo city.
