A sister restaurant of the legendary Yoroniku, offering the ultimate melt-in-the-mouth meat in Suehiro-cho

Minutes from Suehiromachi Station in Tokyo, yakiniku restaurant Namaiki opened in 2014 as a sister site of the legendary Yoroniku in Minami Aoyama, a place where meat lovers will be drawn to a noren (curtain) inscribed with “肉(Meat)” that sets the agenda for a memorable evening.

As the name of the restaurant is prefixed with “Nama (raw)”, attention to detail to the quality of produce takes precedence above all else. Lean, high quality meat sashimi melts on the tongue, and beef sushi has a deep flavor, with the rich, sweet flavor of the beef blending with the rice. Yukhoe, a kind of steak tartare, is exquisitely balanced, with egg yolk and a balanced sauce elevating the flavour of the meat.

For yakiniku, specially-trained staff offer diners a way of tasting each part in a Yoroniku style. For example, beef tongue is thinly sliced from the marbled beef core and salted with kelp; misuji (top blade) comes with dashi and grated daikon; zabton (chuck flap) is dipping in a special sauce and entwined with egg yolk. Each dish is a delight, and exquisitely prepared by a professional staff.

Meanwhile, a wide variety of drinks such as wine, beer, sake, and shochu are available to guests to enjoy with their meal.

As guests pass through the noren and ascend the stairs to the second floor, the interior is casual but chic and calm. There are a total of 93 seats at the counter and large tables, and private rooms for up to 24 people. Ideal for occasions with friends, parties, dates, and more.
