BISTRO Couplet is a hidden French bistro that is located near a quiet area not far from Omotesando station. The name of this restaurant is a combination of wine and cuisine and they provide an atmosphere that guests can enjoy both at the same time.
Chef Hiroshi Shirai was trained under Chef Takashima from Madame Toki in Daikayama and puts importance on the fire to cook the meat.
Pulling out the flavor of the meat by careful firing, he creates cuisine that does not make guests’ stomach tired. Usually a rack of lamb is popular in bistros, BISTRO Couplet, however, uses fillet for the roasted lamb fillet. They serve authentic French cuisine at a reasonable price. Chef Shirai’s signature dishes are the appetizer that uses seasonal ingredients and his fish dishes. Even though it is located in Omotesando where all the fancy places are around, customers can still enjoy elegant French cuisine in a very casual way.
They have counter-seat which is perfect for couple and friends to enjoy and the table-seat which is perfect for casual wine tasting. The big wine cellar in the restaurant has a great variety of wine selection, from France to California. Kid’s menu is available upon advance request.
