Chef Arishima's Chinese cuisine, which opened in 2021, in Nishiazabu

Located about five minutes from the Nishi-Azabu intersection, the entrance to a quiet residential area on the side of Kogaicho Park, Nishi-Azabu Shangou has made a fresh start. Going up the stairs and through the entrance area from the door, you will find a large single board counter in the main dining area.

Chef Arishima Hiroaki started his training at Keio Plaza Hotel "Nanen" in Shinjuku in 1981. He studied at some of Tokyo's leading hotels including the All Nippon Airways Hotel (currently the Intercontinental Hotel Tokyo) "Karin," and at The Peninsula Hotel Tokyo "Hei Fung Terrace," he became the top Japanese assistant chef and at the time of assuming the position of head chef at Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo "SENSE", he was awarded 1 star as a world class gourmet guide. He later went to Paris, France. In Franklin Roosevelt, he opened a Cantonese dish called "Tong Yen", and he was active not only in Japan, so he opened a new restaurant called "Nishi-Azabu Shangu" as a culmination.
The cuisine was born from Arishima's career, and while the cuisine is centered on Cantonese cuisine, the inspiration and experience of Arishima is interwoven everywhere in this course that can only be enjoyed here. The concept is "Issai Iskon". The specialty uses shark fins, which are rare in Japan "Simmered shark fin.", to capture the hearts of guests. The steamed fish is served with hot fish sauce in front of guests by Arishima himself, using sujiara which is directly delivered from Miyakojima.
The drink will include wine carefully selected by the sommelier, and they will suggest a pairing to match the dish.

The dining room has an open kitchen with a spacious 8-seat counter in front. A counter where you can enjoy the live feeling while watching the movement of kitchen staff. And for the guests who enjoyed the meal in the first part, you can spend a relaxing time in a different atmosphere at the sub-dining in the back. Private rooms for up to 6 people are also available.
