“Courage” is located in the calm area in Azabujuban that has various popular restaurants. The owner is Gino Aizawa, who has served at the popular Italian restaurant “Il Teatorino di Salone” since it opened and moved from one place to another, such as “Shimogamo Saryo”. “Courage” opened in March 2018 with his ideal theme of "a space where you can enjoy not only food but also the five senses". The chef is Seira Furuya. After graduating from university, she worked at a culinary school, and then joined Seiyoken of the Gakushikaikan. In 2016 she was selected to represent Japan at the S.Pellegrino Young Chef competition and her career also culminated as she started working in Brea (The World's 50 Best Restaurants) in Australia. After returning to Japan in August 2020, she was appointed chef of Courage.
The concept is "Restaurant × Fashion × Art", creating a new dining space with Japanese and Western fusion cuisine and facilities. Mr. Aizawa spent his youth in the days of the bubble economy that boomed all over Japan, and in “Courage” he incorporated elements that excited guests everywhere in a lustrous and glossy space reminiscent of those days. The plants outside the restaurant and the paintings at the entrance are the work of young artists, and he would like to use them as a place to send out messages.
The restaurant with impressive red tablecloth has 6 tables for 4 people. You should go on a date or visit with friends. It is a playground for adults that combines deliciousness and fun with an uplifting atmosphere.
