Limited 8 seats for sushi at the hideaway of Ginza

“Sushiya” opened in 2012 as the branch of “Sushi Kanesaka". It has an attractive atmosphere like a hideaway spot only know to those in the know.

“Irrespective of whether the guests are Japanese or from overseas, we are only guaranteed of enjoying a particular moment together on the one occasion. We always do our utmost to have each and every customer feel that they made the right decision in coming to “Sushiya”. We truly value our serious approach in preparing sushi for them,” he explains. "Sushiya" sources all its seafood from Toyosu Fish Market and entertains its customers with the best seafood on offer in each season. In summer, this includes hair crab,, shiro-ebi prawns, and Kagoshima-caught netsuke mackerel, which is considered a top-end jack mackerel. "Sushiya" always stocks 5 seasonal varieties of sake to go with the sushi. At night, guests can relax and enjoy a meal of Tsumami(appetizers) and sushi served omakase style.

The only seating at “Sushiya" is an L-shaped cypress counter that seats 8. The slightly dimmed lighting gives the interior a subdued atmosphere, allowing customers to relax and enjoy their meal. Guests will be close to the chef no matter where they sit and will be able to enjoy a close-up view of his exquisite skills with the knife and him pressing the sushi into shape with his hands. It is appealing to savor this live “performance” as if one were at the theater. The lunch menu offers nigirizushi-only options, making “Sushiya" a convenient choice for business lunches or lunches as a special treat. The restaurant will do its utmost to satisfy its guests no matter what the occasion—not only dates, anniversaries, and business entertainment, but also get-togethers and private events. We also recommend “Sushiya” for those who are eating sushi in Ginza for the very first time.
