Ningyocho is located in the center of Tokyo, yet it retains the atmosphere of downtown Tokyo. There are many long-established restaurants in this area, and Kawada opened its door in February 2019. The gentle owner, Haruji Kanata, went independent after 13 years of experience at the famous Japanese restaurant Iyuki.
There are only 6 counter seats. With the desire to provide meticulous services such as serving dishes to each guest with a short distance and preparing the food in front of the guest, this kappo restaurant is in counter-style.
The signature dish is the claypot pot rice served at the end of the seasonal omakase course. It is cooked with the utmost care so that it can be served in the most delicious and hot state. It is served as "takikomi gohan (mixed rice)" or "dried baby sardines with sansho pepper".
The alcohol collection is carefully selected with sake and wine that doesn't interfere with the taste of the food. It is an orthodox Japanese restaurant filled with humble attitude, continuous passion for cooking, and consideration for guests.
