A 1-star artistic sushi restaurant located in the back alley of Nakameguro

Udatsu Sushi, 5-minute walk from Nakameguro Station, a hidden sushi restaurant in the back alley. With the concept of "sushi restaurant in an art gallery," the space is decorated with pictures by famous artists from around the world. The sushi is made by Chef Hisashi Udatsu, who trained in sushi restaurants in Ginza and Nishiazabu.

It is based on traditional nigiri: one type of red vinegar and two types of rice vinegar, and one type of red vinegar and one type of rice vinegar. The rice used is Kinuhikari rice purchased from a contracted farmer in Tokyo. There is also Chef Udatsu's original nigiri sushi, the most recommended ones are "veggie roll" and "seasonal herb roll." "Veggie roll" is a sushi roll with several kinds of chopped seasonal vegetables. It is always served as one item when you change from side dishes to nigiri sushi, so you can start eating it refreshingly. "Seasonal herb roll" was developed when the chef was fascinated by the herbs when he visited "Kajitani Farm" in Mihara, Hiroshima. It is made by mixing microvegetables with ao-fish or white-meat fish purchased seasonally and wrapping it with nori.

"Smoked tuna" is popular as a side dish. A part of the tuna that has been skewered with a metal skewer and broiled with straw, then served in a glass container with a lid and sprinkled with truffle salt. The entertaining performance of putting smoke in the glass container and opening the lid in front of guests is also appreciated. The drink is supervised by Naotaka Ohashi, who is the former owner sommelier of TIRPSE and active as a food documenter. They have 6 to 10 types of sake, 2 types of white wine and 3 types of red wine, and 5 to10 types of champagne by the bottle.

There are 9 counter seats made of Yoshino cypress from Nara and a private room for 4 people. The paintings displayed in the chic mortared space change with the seasons. Enjoy a new style of sushi with your family, friends, couples, and colleagues.
